Before screens, words were pressed into paper one sheet at a time, deep enough to feel under your fingertips. Some of that belongs here too. Words with weight. Words with a little shadow. Words that look like someone meant them.

The Love Letters

I cried at the album before I even opened it. The linen cover, our names pressed into it, the weight of it in my lap. Then I opened it and cried again. My mother has asked to borrow it twice.

CAMILLE & THÉO R.

We almost skipped the prints to save a little money. Please don’t. Ours hang in the hallway now, and every guest stops in the exact same spot. I won’t remember the invoice in ten years. I’ll remember this.

MARGAUX D.

I told her twice that I disliked my photo being taken. She said “trust me” and kept going. The album arrived wrapped in paper and string, and my husband read it front to back like a novel. He’s never read a novel.
